Chair: Joëlle Fennebeumer

Dear everyone,
My name is Joëlle Fennebeumer and I am 22 years old. Currently, I am a third-year religious studies student and I’m doing my religious studies minor right now. This year, I will be the chair of Gerardus van der Leeuw which means I will be one of our association’s representatives! As a chair, I get to know what is going on in our faculty and will be in close contact with the students which is the best part of doing a board year! I find it very important to be aware of all the issues within our faculty and believe this is necessary to offer a safe atmosphere for all students. Therefore, I make sure that all the important points are discussed in our meetings and, therefore, write the weekly agenda. Next to organizing the weekly meetings, I look forward to organizing activities with my other board members and the committees. As the chair of Gerardus I, additionally, keep in touch with other associations so we can organize bigger events (such as a gala or borrel) together sometimes. I wanted to do a board year after a difficult year of COVID-19 because I want to bring our students back together. For me, the faculty feels like a second home and I hope the new students will feel the same way very soon. This year, we as a board, hope to organize many physical activities that will bring the students and the faculty back together again. I am looking forward to this year and hope to meet you all in person very soon at our activities!
