Gerardus van der Leeuw is the faculty community of Theology and Religious Studies of the University of Groningen. The community exists since April 2003 and is named after Gerardus van der Leeuw/the first theologian who introduced religious studies to the UoG. We do our best to make our students happy and at home at our faculty! We organize fun events like game nights, ice skating, christmas carol and also study related events like seminars and employability activities. Together with committees we make every year an unique experience!
Now that our faculty has closed, many feel the loss of our beloved GGW community. Gerardus van der Leeuw is doing its best to adapt to the new situation and is organizing several online activities, which you can find on our activity calendar, our social media channels and in our weekly newsletters. We created an online discord platform to keep our faculty community alive, which can be used to chat, call, game, watch movies, send memes… you name it. In addition, the platform will also be used to host more official activities like Mentoraat. Be sure you don’t miss any important announcement or fun activity!
You can find the link to our discord platform in our weekly newsletter.
Gerardus sends weekly newsletters to all GGW students to keep everyone up to date about Gerardus- related news items and events. Sign up with the following form if you would like to receive our newsletter (and are not receiving it yet): https://forms.gle/UpijECE5Xct1S1uL7
